Annual Conference 2010

This year we are very lucky to be in San Antonio, TX for the AFP Annual Conference. The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and AFP hotels are in close proximity to each other. November is a beautiful time of year in San Antonio so it will be nice to stake a stroll outside after a long day in sessions and walking the exhibit hall.

The Sunday night Welcome Reception at the AT&T Center will have shuttles departing from the convention center. Shuttles will also be leaving the AT&T center and returning attendees to the convention center unless you are staying at a hotel on the courtesy route, then you will be dropped off at your hotel.
I think my boots are made for walking – so I’ll wave hello as I’m walking around San Antonio!

I don’t know about you but one of the first things I think about after I register for a conference is my flight. Good news for San Antonio, Delta Airlines and AirTran Airways has added nonstop flights to their routes. Delta increased daily nonstops between San Antonio and Atlanta. They also reinstated a nonstop flight between San Antonio and Cincinnati. AirTran Airways also increased their flights from Baltimore and Orlando to San Antonio.

San Antonio is probably better known for outstanding Tex Mex cuisine but it’s not the only flavor you will find upon arrival.
